Artist's Description

Sunset at Castillo de Salgar. The castle of San Antonio de Salgar is a historical building located in the municipality of Puerto Colombia, northwest of the department of Atlantico , Colombia . The castle is twenty minutes from the city of Barranquilla and was built by the Spanish in 1848 on the ruins of the old fort of San Antonio, during the colonial era. It is a place of historical interest, as the castle was a Spanish fort that served as a prison, as a colony and later as a refuge center.
Today being, recently restored, it now houses a restaurant and serves as center stage for events and family and cultural recreation in the Caribbean coast of Colombia.
